David Phelps - and Montel

So, we went to New York City to tape the Montel Williams Show. It was crazy, Manhattan is nuts, :) and we had fun!

At the end of the taping - Montel was giving a "gift", surprise to each of the "miraculous kids" on the show.

David Phelps was the surprise for Kayla.

Now, most of you know that he is my favorite and Josh and Kayla's favorite, and Holly's favorite :) and if I haven't convinced you to go listen to his music yet, read on...

I have always had such respect for him - musically and as a person (especially after EMHE) -- but this week, that respect shot up even further. He was so genuine, giving, fun, and I knew that he cared for my little girl. He took time out of his own crazy schedule to do this... and that means the world! We didn't know if Kayla would ever have the chance to meet him in person and she just loves him... This was a dream come true for her. I thought her smile would just explode that day - and she was so sweet, she just wanted to hug him!

Anyway, you'll have to watch Montel when it airs (I will let you know, as soon as I know an air date), but I wanted you all to know what an incredible person David is. My next wish is to meet his wonderful and beautiful wife Lori :)

The picture above is a sweet one. My beautiful little girl getting to spend time with her favorite person! Check out the info in the sidebar and listen to David's music and go out and buy it! You will be blessed and it is so worth it!

Thank you, David! And thank you, Montel.

What a great feel-good story! After following David's career for a long time now, I find all of the things you've said about him to be true. And if you think David is sweet, I can't wait to see your blog after you meet Lori. She is a very special lady. (It's getting to the point that when I see David at a concert, I just look over his shoulder and ask for Lori LOL)
Kayla is so pretty and genuine. And Josh is too cute for words. You have a right to be very, very proud. I love reading about you and your family.
God bless,
~Kellie (from dp's board)

Sherry on David Phelps' mesage board talked about how she read your blog and kept up with it. She said, "you're a terrific writer"

So i came over to see.

I have liked what I have seen and am curious about your publishing? I will continue to read and look for your work.

I also just ordered all of David Phelps cds. I hope he's as good as you say.
Thanks you.

Hey Kim,
You have such a beautiful family. I am so glad that Kayla was finally able to meet David, spend the day with him (and beat him in the driving game ~ ha! ha!), and get all those hugs. And you are so right, he is such a genuine & kind person. We have been enjoying all the pics you have been sharing on the board & here. I know the day was a blessing to you all. I can't wait for you to meet Lori. She is so precious! You will love her!! We all are so happy for you guys. God IS good!!! Blessings to you, Jeremy, Kayla, Josh & Holly!

So true! Most musicians out there can't really be called musicians. Thanx holly for your comment.

And to Kim - wow - i love your blog. You must have a really good readership. Keep it up.

Hi Kim.
Just wanted to jump on in and say how much I love all of the happenings going on with your family. First, I'm sooo happy that David finally met Kayla and Josh and that you can see what we all know about the joyous love that just exudes from his heart. His talent is beyond wonderful, but there is so much more there. Just wait until you meet Lori, too. It's the same thing. We love them both so much.
And second, I am happy that your story is getting out there in a way that is dignified and helpful for those that need to understand what they may be going through.
You are all an inspiration to many.
God bless you.
Hugs and Blessings,
Lee

Awww...that's so sweet. Yes, he's incredible - voices like that can't be taught or bought or produced - it's something God ordained and annointed!

Hi Kim,
I'm at school and can't view the pictures you posted on DP's board. I wanted to show my 5th and 6th graders, but they don't show up. How happy I was to find this one here. The kids all saw it and were so excited for Kayla and Josh. Since they have written letters, they feel close to them, and thought how "lucky" they were to get to experience such a fun time with David and to be on TV.

I can't imagine how busy you must be right now, but I can relate to how excited you must have been to see David as many of us know him to be. Those pictures are worth a thousand words. The joy in everyone's face is so heartwarming. It just confirms what we have always known.

Thanks for sharing with us, and from my 5th & 6th graders, and from me too, we love you, and look forward to hearing more from you all. Josh and Kayla are in our hearts.

Kim, I love your posts. Your humor is infectious. And the fact that you are able to have humor in the midst of your daily trials is nothing short of amazing. Thank you for sharing your family with us and allowing us to be a small part of your life. And thank you for helping God to share David Phelps with the world at large. I love the picture of David and Kayla on your main page...their love is so evident and genuine.
